Stealth // AI + Timber
The U.S. timber market moves $30B+ annually on phone calls, paper maps, and gut instinct. We're building the AI infrastructure to change that — starting with one county, scaling to every county.

AI agents, hyper-local brands, and proprietary timber tools — a repeatable playbook for a $30B industry still running on phone calls and gut instinct.
Timber is a trust business. Homeowners sell to people they know, not faceless corporations. Each Infinite Timber brand is locally named, locally rooted, and speaks the language of its county. The brand is the interface. The platform is invisible.
Autonomous agents handle prospecting, landowner outreach, inbound triage, deal negotiation, and logistics coordination. The entire operation runs on a one-person + AI army model — $550–$830/month in software, zero employees.
Five purpose-built tools turn satellite data into timber deals. Market viability, parcel scoring, per-tree valuation, personalized outreach, and brand deployment — all automated, all repeatable in any county.
The playbook is the same in every county. Only the data changes.
Pick a county. Run Prospector. Deploy Sky and Scout. Launch a hyper-local brand. Send Owl. Close deals.
Evaluates any U.S. county for market entry in under two minutes. Analyzes timber volume by species, hardwood mill network density, land ownership patterns (absentee vs. resident), median lot size, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape. Produces a scored viability report that answers one question: should we launch a brand here?
Pennsylvania scored highest for the MVP launch — #1 hardwood producer in the U.S. (1.3B board feet annually), dense Amish and commercial sawmill network, favorable regulatory environment, and strong walnut/white oak/cherry demand. Prospector identified the SE Pennsylvania corridor (Lancaster, Chester, Franklin counties) as Tier 1 targets.
Scores every parcel in a county on timber quality and seller likelihood. Combines county GIS, Regrid ownership data, NLCD land cover, canopy height models, and USFS FIA species data into a single ranked list. The top 1,000 parcels become outreach targets.
Takes Sky's ranked parcels and produces per-tree valuations. Uses USFS TreeMap for species identification, LiDAR-derived canopy height for board feet estimation, and Sentinel-2 phenology for deciduous/conifer classification. Outputs a tree-by-tree valuation map with dollar estimates.
Generates custom direct mail for every landowner on the target list. Each postcard shows their property from satellite, their trees marked by species, and their estimated value range. Personalized down to the individual parcel — not a generic mailer.

I'm Josh Lake. I build companies at the intersection of technology and physical industries. Before Infinite Timber, I was CTO at Elephant Energy (home electrification, Series A from Building Ventures), Head of Operations at Nuro (autonomous delivery, raised $2B+), and COO at Evercar (one of the first shared EV fleets for rideshare drivers). I started my career in concentrated solar at Amonix, where our team set world records for solar module efficiency verified by NREL. I have an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BS from USC.
Home electrification platform. Heat pumps, induction stoves, EV chargers. Three states. Series A.
Early operations leader at the autonomous delivery startup. Nuro raised over $2B and partnered with Uber and Kroger.
One of the first shared EV fleets for rideshare drivers. Pioneered EV-as-a-service in LA, SF, Indianapolis.
Utility-scale concentrated solar. World records for solar module efficiency (34.9%) verified by NREL.
Every commodity market has been transformed by data — except timber.
The U.S. timber market still runs on phone calls, paper maps, and decades-old relationships.
Landowners routinely leave 30–50% of their timber's value on the table because they don't know what they have or what it's worth.
Infinite Timber brings AI to the entire workflow: land prospecting, timber cruising, market pricing, and deal execution.
We start hyper-local — one county, one brand — prove the model, then replicate it everywhere.
The playbook is the same in every county. Only the data changes.
